Initially, it's a story of an obvious problem. While watching a show about the damage caused by plastic to our environment, a shocking figure stood out: 192 countries dump 9.1 million tons of plastic into the oceans every year.
Faced with this alarming finding, the desire to contribute was born. Beginning with personal actions such as giving up plastic bottles for glass, this approach took a decisive turn upon discovering ancient Japanese practices: since the 17th century, they have been using charcoal to purify and remineralize water.
Thus, Woody was born: simple products, 100% natural, inspired by age-old practices, which allow to purify and remineralize tap water, thereby reducing the purchase of plastic bottles. Each year, two pieces of charcoal are enough to avoid the use of 365 plastic bottles, proving that the past still has a lot of lessons to teach us about ecology and respect for our environment.
